Dubai was already becoming a city where the health and fitness industry was growing all over. Fitness studios, gyms, healthy food services, and many trainers from out and around were already growing in Dubai every day.

Until Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council came to the scene, and this fitness trend seems to erupt.

The Prince, on October 2nd, announced that he wants to make Dubai one of the healthiest cities in the world.

Following the statement, he declared Dubai Fitness Challenge across the city.

Dubai Fitness Challenge encourages all the citizens, residents, and visitors to commit at least 30 minutes of exercise for 30 days.

You might have lots of questions now. Let’s start to answer them:

Who is it for?

The Dubai Fitness Challenge is for everyone. Either you are a couch potato or have an extremely active lifestyle; you will find something that would interest you among the +1,500 FREE classes.

Avail the opportunity to join free classes of your interest—a great time to hone your skills or learn a new sport.

Whether you like yoga, cycling, running, paddling, interval training or even people watching, you don’t want to miss this event.

Where do I leave my kids? Bring them along; there are tons of activities for them  too.

Moreover, you can find ladies-only events.

Why 30 Days?

Well, it usually takes at least 20 days to adopt a habit or change a mindset.

The initiative seems obvious to make all the people residing in Dubai exercise for 30 days, and make Dubai the healthiest city in the world; Genius!

When Does it Start?

The challenge starts on October 20 at Safa Park and goes on until November 18.

Opening ceremony timings:

October 20th: 1 pm to 9 pm

October 21st: 1 pm to 7 pm

Participants are encouraged to exercise for at least 30 minutes every day from 5 am to 8:30 pm.

How Do I Join?

Get registered here. List your details and sign up as individuals or groups, including a private or government organization.

How Do I Keep Up With So Much Going On?

They have an App.

Download Dubai Daily Challenge (DFC) App available at the App Store and Google Play Store.

On the App, you can find the schedule of all the fun-filled events, which include five-weekend family carnivals and more than 1500 workout classes.

Where is the Event Taking Place?

Simple to answer; All over Dubai. There are 88 fitness and sports facilities partnering and 75 pop-up spots which are open to everyone.
